    The Cat is the fourth in the 12-year cycle of Vietnamese zodiac. The Years of the Cat include 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023.
    The Vietnamese horoscope has 12 animals as well. They are Rat, Cow, Tiger, Cat, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Chicken, Dog and Pig. The cat replaces the Rabbit in the Chinese zodiac. So, a child born in the Chinese year of the Rabbit will be born in the Vietnamese year of the Cat (mẹo/mão). The Vietnamese zodiac uses the same animals as the Chinese zodiac for the remaining 11 years, though the Ox of the Chinese zodiac is usually considered to be a water buffalo (sửu/trâu) in the Vietnamese zodiac.
