    Description

While the tags are no longer with this item, and her box disappeared long ago, I found information online to get more details about this doll. She
is from the FRANKLIN MINT HEIRLOOM Doll Collection: The GIBSON GIRL 125th ANNIVERSARY HEIRLOOM BRIDE DOLL from 1994. She was created to commemmorate the birth of Charles Dana Gibson, whose art featured women and styles of the late 1800's and early 1900's. His girls became known as the GIBSON GIRLS.
Key features of GIBSON GIRLS art are a long neck, slender, curvatious body, and swept-up hair style. The doll's head is made of bisque porcelain, with hand-painted features. Her eyes have painted eyelashes over green or grey eyes with light green eye shadow. Even her fingernails are painted with light pink!
The beautiful ivory-colored bridal gown is made of a China silk fabric with imported French lace accents. There are five mauve-colored rosebuds below the neckline and two on the skirt of the dress, with pinkish-beige curly ribbons. The long, flowing lacy train attaches to the dress at the waist with hooks and eyes. A bit below her waist the netting attaches to the dress with two hooks and eyes to make a bustle.
The long veil is simple and elegant: netting gathered at the crown of her head, with two matching mauve rosebuds and curly ribbons flowing down to almost her waist. Her red hair is styled in a bun with little curls beside her ears.
The 6 buttons on the sleeves are faux pearls. All are in tact with the original loops to hold the cuff together. She holds a floral bouquet that also has the curly strands of ribbon. She has a gold painted wedding ring on that hand.
The torso is a cloth body covered in white fabric that appears to be cotton. Her arms from the elbows to the tips of her pink-painted fingernails are porcelain, as are her legs from the knees down to her shoes.  The shoes are molded onto the feet and painted  with a shiny ivory color with a single pink rose bud with green leaves on the side of each shoe. Netting on the underskirt lets the skirt flare out at the bottom.
