Description

Because these gears are brass they are easily drilled from 5/64 to 1/8 of an inch.
This is very easy to do on any drill press because the brass is soft. You can buy brass axle shaft at any hobby shop in about 20 different diameters and it is very easy to solder one of these gears to the shaft and it is permanent and much more reliable than a set screw. You can also use the permanent red Loctite for another method of attaching the gear to an axle.
The small worm drive mechanism that you see in one of the photographs is manufactured by us. If you are interested in one of these please contact us about purchasing one. It utilizes a small slot that allows the user to easily set the mesh distance between the two gears.
This listing is for 500 pieces of vintage 20 TOOTH BRASS PINION GEAR made by TRADESHIP USA!
This listing
DOES
come with the wooden block that has 50 metal pegs to hold all 500 of the GEARS. When this is shipped all of the GEARS will be dumped off of this holder into a bag and packaged tightly and the holder will go in a double box to prevent damage to the metal pins.
Again this will be double boxed and the outer box is a medium flat rate priority box from the USPS this will be shipped with insurance and will require a signature.
These gears are metric pitch MOD .5 mm As you can see in some of the photos this is a very common pitch that is used on different toys and hobby shop radio controlled items and matching GEARS are very easy to find.
These are NOS Sold by Tradeship Manufacturing, San Francisco, CA. Sold BULK with no packaging. Please note that all of the extras that are seen in the photographs are used for illustration and display purposes only. Please note that these gears are over 50 years old and may contain a mild brown patina on the flat surfaces of the gear. These are currently stored with desiccant packs to control moisture and further patina. This brown patina is very easy to remove by sliding the gear back-and-forth on a piece of 400 grit sandpaper or holding it against a wire wheel in a drill press etc.
