    INCREDIBLE PLAYER!!!
The Buffet-Crampon S1 tenor sax is a rare and incredible saxophone. The S1 followed the Super Dynaction series of horns and in my professional opinion are the BEST saxophones Buffet ever produced. The S1 horns out play most Selmer Mark VIs and by every standard compete apples-to-apples with the Mark VI horns.
This S1 is an exemplary specimen. It's in pristine, mint condition and has had a fresh overhaul within the last few months. The horn is resonant, dynamic, brilliant tone and intonation, very fast action and response and absolutely sings from low-Bb to way into the altissimo ranges. There is an evenness of tone and sound throughout the ranges of this horn and a flexibility and breadth of sound and tonality that allows this horn to be used in all genres of music. The horn is in spectacular physical condition. ~99+% original lacquer in tact. No solder or metal work. No pulldown on the neck. Only minor scratches and minimal lacquer wear throughout. Horn come in a near-new "Leo P" form fitted case, with shoulder & backpack straps.
The S1 models were very unique. The low-Eb/C spatulas are built without rollers and are very ergonomic, beautiful and functional. Also these keys work on a type of 'piston' system, instead of the tradition fulcrum approach. Also the low-Bb spatula is articulated which helps with left-hand pinky key fluidity, not to mention the deco-style elegance of both these unique-to-this-model elements.
From a professional player's perspective, this horn out plays almost every Selmer Mark VI I've ever played (and I've had the priviledge to play well over 1000 VIs in my life thus far). There is a unique feel and sound to this horn, which is delightful. I'm an endorsed artist with Selmer Paris / Conn-Selmer, Theo Wanne, Silverstein Works and Oleg Products. I am also a dealer for BAM France cases & many of the afore mentioned manufacturers. If you need any accessories or mouthpieces, let me know. I will extend 'near-dealer' pricing to you if purchased with the horn. If you are interested in my music, search Mark Fox Jazz. Feel free to reach out direct with any questions.
