Grace note chimes are intended for outdoor use and will provide years of enjoyment with little or no maintenance. Our Chimes now feature recycled composite lumber strikers. Composite lumber is not only environmentally friendly it also creates a softer contact sound when applied to wind chime tubing. In corrosive environments, like coastal areas, the chimes will maintain a high luster if treated semi-annually with a protective lubricant such as gun oil or silicon spray. If cleaning is desired, we suggest that you use a nonmetallic scouring pad. Do not use steel wool. All chimes made after 2004 will carry a 10 year guarantee due to product improvements. Exposure to harsh elements will eventually affect even the highest quality materials. That is why Grace Note Wind chimes offer a complete wind chime repair.
