The three wise monkeys are a well-known image. Together they embody the proverbial principle «not to see evil, not to listen to evil, not to speak evil». The three monkeys are Mizaru, who covers his eyes, who sees no evil, Kikazaru, who covers his ears, who hears no evil and Iwazaru, who covers his mouth, who does not speak ill.
The Three Monkey Katana is built on a traditional Shinogi Zukuri-style blade with Bo-Hi to reduce weight and improve balance and handling. The high carbon blade is hand-forged and differentially hardened. Blackened iron tsuba has a motif of three wise monkeys.
