Hello and welcome to our special 7-night, July 4th listings featuring a very large and diverse group of ocean liners (including interiors) from around the world.

INTERIOR - Sepia-toned postcard of the Canadian Pacific Railroad's three-funneled EMPRESS OF AUSTRALIA of 1922 - the First Class Lounge.
She was originally launched in 1913 for the Hamburg Amerika Line as TIRPITZ but would never see service under that name as she sat incomplete throughout World War One.  At the end of hostilities she was ordered completed and handed over as compensation to the Canadian Pacific, who renamed her EMPRESS OF CHINA in 1922.  Renamed EMPRESS OF AUSTRALIA in 1922.  Scrapped in 1952.

This lovely postcard is in excellent condition.
