This light cannot be used as a standard light as it has a motion sensor built in and cannot be turned off. Once timeout duration has been met item will turn off if it does not detect any movement.
How sensitive is the light to movement?

highly sensitive and can detect movement through thin drywalls and is recommended to be used in larger areas or hallways.
