The Normans spread to England, Sicily, and other parts of Italy as horse warriors, known for their long dimensions of mail, teardrop-shaped shields (kite shields), and conical helmets. This type of helmet with a slightly curved forward peak was very popular. The conical shape allows the blows it receives to glide, protecting the face and nose with the nose protector that does not impede vision.
This helmet has a beautiful distressed finish with an adjustable liner.
