    Description

    Original bench-made cabin style oak bank box or offertory box with a hinged lid. A product of Canadian home industry - circa 1980. This durable unpainted box is made out thick-gauge oak panels joined in the manner of Lincoln Logs construction.
    The lid under a shaped handle has a rectangular slot for depositing change or paper money.
    The lid has a long hinge that is secure and works smoothly.
    The front side of the savings bank box has a central steel latch for a lock.
    This is a one-of-a-kind item made from home industry made in Canada.
    It was well made by a diligent carpenter likely for a family member or service group.
    This bank box is both attractive and very durable.
