Head incised: STELZER with incised artist's signature; head stamped with facsimile of artist's signature, dated 2004, #__/500 (indicates she is a limited edition of 500 but no number on the first line). Has been displayed, not played with. Porcelain head on shoulderplate; porcvelain limbs; cloth torso. Clothing is well-made with tiny buttons, no Velcro. She does NOT have box or COA; be aware & bid accordingly! No smoke or other odor.

    Description

    HUGE, 32-inch lifelike doll, porcelain with cloth torso.  By artist Gerlinde Stelzer, made in Germany.  Head dated 2004.  I have never seen this doll before, although she is one of an edition of 500.  She is really unusual in that the porcelain is highly glossy, more like a china doll than a typical bisque. Her eyes are painted, so they do not move, but they seem to follow you. She has a very pretty face, but at the same time gives off a creepy vibe --- she may be TOO realistic! If you want a doll you won't see in everyone else's collection, don't miss out.
