S.P.Q.R. - Viking knife made of damask steel, wooden handle with bone ornamentsS.P.Q.R. - Viking knife made of damask steel, wooden handle with bone ornaments
This Viking Age handmade knife has a sharp 256-layer Damascus steel blade. The front of the wooden handle with alternating layers of dark wood and light bone separated by red spacers is truly striking. The handle end cap and clamp are made of brass. The supply volume includes a beautiful tanned leather cover with richly decorated brass accessories. The transport system consists of two conveyor rings, a belt distributor and three leather straps. In the Viking Age, transport systems of this type were widespread. The belt distributor was used to distribute the individual straps in such a way that the saxophone sword or knife could be carried at an optimal angle on the belt to be quickly removed from the sheath.
It should be noted that the blade is sharp and fully functional. Therefore, the knife is not suitable for display combat and is only designed as a collector’s item or decorative object.
