    Description

    This is an AMAZING Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone.
    The Mark VI tenor is a modern icon of saxophones. Made popular by jazz greats throughout history, the Mark VI is generally considered the finest saxophone ever made, and saxes of the five-digit vintage like this one (96348) are generally considered the best instruments. This saxophone is in gorgeous condition. Lacquer is original and 99% present with only very minor playing wear. Neck bears the matching serial number and has never been pulled down. Pads are original to the instrument, but we have just gone over them all the same and this horn plays great as is. This is an unfortunate acid bleed at the low Eb key (see photos). Looks like it was played for about 3 months and then put away in the closet.
