When President Teddy Roosevelt spared the life of an orphaned bear cub back in 1902, he would never have guessed the consequences of his kindly action. Enterprising toy makers picked up on the idea and named a toy bear after him. Teddy has remained a great hit with young and old ever since.
In thanks for all the comfort that he has given to so many, a handsome coin issue from the British Virgin Islands (BVI) celebrates his first 100 Years in grand style.
