Orcrist has only one edge. Its blade is sharp and curved on one side and straight on the other, a design perfectly suited to kill orcs and elves. The metal knob shows the heraldry of the house of Ecthelion, the Lord of the Fountain. The handle is made of a dragon tooth.
It has written in elven runes: The name Orcrist (Orc-knife) can be read on the guard.
The inscription on both sides of the leaf has been translated as «snake tooth».
This faithfully detailed replica is a reproduction of the actual filming accessory created by Weta Workshop in New Zealand and used in the film The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
