Viking sword with sheath and five-lobe knobViking sword with sheath and five-lobe knob
Beautiful reconstruction of a 10th century Viking sword, based on archaeological finds made in England.
As early as the 8th century, isolated groups of Vikings would descend sporadically off the British coast in search of easy loot. However, from the ninth century onwards, the Scandinavians changed their strategy and began to conquer lands and settle in England.
This sword is made exclusively by hand. The guard and the characteristic knob with five bumps are forged in steel. The blade is hand-riveted to the knob. The handle has leather straps. The blade has a distinctive fuller that offers great flexibility and lower weight. The edges of the blade are not sharp.
The beautiful wooden sheath is lined in leather and features a wooden belt clip (maximum belt width 5 cm) and a richly ornate brass layer.
This is the regular edition of this Viking sword.
