VINTAGE 1952-53 THE MARTIN ELKHART IN TENOR SAX SAXOPHONE # 180125
INCLUDES CASE AS SHOWN
This is a VINTAGE instrument that will need repairs.
It is sold for Parts/Repairs and no returns.
I have little knowledge of the extent it will take to return this instrument to its original glory.
It would be great if this fabulous nearly 70 year old piece would be played again !
It comes exactly as is shown in pictures and appears to be all complete.
As you can see there are some scratches and Lacquer worn off. Also a ding as shown in photo 5 which to me does not seem to be too bad but please see the photo.
To my knowledge it was a one owner until I recently purchased it.
From my Research of the Serial Number on the Web I believe this should be a 1952-1953 model
Number on the Sax Body is 180125 and appears to be the same number as shown on the mouthpiece so this would be a matching numbers unit !
I assume if you are bidding on this instrument you are familiar with these and would/should know about these Saxophones

I have had several inquiries from members in regard to this listing so I wanted to include some updates.
The mouthpieces are included along with what is in the storage compartment of the case.
The White mouthpiece is a Conn Comet (There is a chip off the tip end of this mouthpiece)
The Black mouthpiece attached to the Sax end is a Selmer C* (The only other marking on it is "Made in France")
The Black Selmer mouthpiece is in Good Condition
Also wanted to note that as far as the condition and description of the Saxophone I am not a Sax Player and have little knowledge of these instruments and I tried to describe or show photos as best I can with the limit of 12 pics per listing.
The one Photo I highlighted and spoke about the ding in the horn was mentioned because to my eye its the most pronounced defect I could find in the horn so I pointed that out. There are a couple more smaller dings in the Sax that may need attention if you are doing a restore on this. If you look at the photos or expand them you should be able to see them okay. Any questions just ask.
Also I wanted to note that one of the keyrod holders is detached from the horn and will need to be reattached in whatever
manner a restorer/repairer performs this task. I would guess there are many tasks to perform in the
repair/restoration of these horns.
I imagine if you are a serious collector/restorer and looked closely at the photos you see these issues,  but to the naked eye or someone unfamiliar with these instruments interested in purchasing this item I simply wanted to point these matters out.
Just trying to be fair here as I always try to describe my items as best as possible !
