Car Model was first published in July, 1962 on a bi-monthly schedule, then switched
to a new full-sized format when it went to a monthly schedule in September, 1963.
It continued through July, 1974. Car Model was consistently in the #1 position in print
volumes among car model and slot car titles in the time period from 1967 to 1975.
A total of 133 issues was printed from July, 1962 through July, 1974.
