Vtg Decorative Shamshir Sword Sheath Solid Aluminum Wall Hanging Arabic Mid East

A pretty cool vintage item today, looking on eBay we think this is called a Shamshir, our sword item is in that style of Arabic or Mid East decoration.  This is only decorative made from 1 solid piece (not hollow) aluminum it appears.  There are two metal loops to hang this on the wall, we would think there was a decorative chain to hang it from, this did not come with it when we purchased at a yard sail in the tiny town of Coleman, MI.  Both sides look the same and this is VERY WELL USED!  Scratches, wear, nicks and dirt.  We only wiped this off with a damp rag to knock the dust off, but some soap would do wonders we’re sure and with some aluminum polish it would look great.  The sword measures 23” long x 3 1/8” across the guard.  There is embossed with decoration on the handle and the tip of the sheath has what looks like a crown.  Most of the scratches are on the sheath.  Thinking this is most likely from the 1950’s - 1970’s, but unsure and we found no others like ours to compare to.  What fun it will be searching for either the original chain or adding your own custom chain, leather or rope of your choice!  Both sides look the same, so it can be hung facing two different ways.

Also I would like to mention that when we say we will ship your package within 1 or 2 days, that is what really happens. We do not print a shipping label (and mark as shipped) and let the package hang around and we do not send the package to a shipping station where it sits for a day or two, when we mark your package as shipped, it is on the way.
