Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson surprises customers at N.J. Target

Sunday shoppers had a celebrity encounter of The Rock variety at a New Jersey Target.
Actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was at the Clifton store to promote his Papatui line of men’s personal care products.
He was there for some giveaways of skincare and other products at the store, including TVs and toys.
Videos posted on social media show a crowd of customers with their cellphones out, and Johnson, who swooped in with an entourage and cameras, stopping to play a game of rock, paper, scissors with a young fan.
The big-screen star, 52, is also promoting the release of his holiday action film “Red One,” in theaters Friday (and Jersey theaters starting Thursday).
Johnson plays Callum Drift, who manages security at the North Pole for Santa Claus, played by Oscar winner J.K. Simmons.
Of course, he’s on the case when someone abducts Santa. The cast also includes Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, Kiernan Shipka, Bonnie Hunt and Nick Kroll.
Johnson also returns as Maui in the Disney animated film “Moana 2″ — the sequel to the 2016 film “Moana — which hits theaters Nov. 27. He stars alongside Auliʻi Cravalho, who reprises the role of Moana.
Next year, the WWE superstar leads A24′s “The Smashing Machine” as real-life professional wrestler and MMA fighter Mark Kerr. In the film, directed by Benny Safdie, he appears opposite Oscar nominee Emily Blunt, who plays Kerr’s wife. She previously co-starred with Johnson in “Jungle Cruise.”
